Christmas in Cincinnati

We stretched out Christmas as much as possible this year! We celebrated first in Cincinnati the weekend before. The Morgans traveled all the way to see us we had a great morning chowing down at IHOP and visiting. It had been awhile since we had seen Taylor and he was so grown up and adorable!! It was a wonderful visit and we are so glad they came!

Later that day Grandma, Grandpa, Jess and Sam came to visit and we had Christmas #1. There were so many presents that we couldn't begin to fit them all under the tree! We had a great dinner and spent hours watching Jack check out all of his new toys!!

We then began to pack to prepare for the trek up North to Canada for Christmas #2. The final picture here is Jack reminding us not to forget him....

Christmas in Canada will have to be another post...

Santa Jack

We never did make it to a mall to get a picture with Santa, but we did have our own little Santa. I couldn't help but post a few pictures from his Santa photo shoot with Lola (who was so patient it was incredible!).

5 Months!

We are really behind in our posts! The holiday rush hit and I just now found a minute to put Jack's five month photos up! (he will be six months in just a week!!) Time is flying by and our little man is growing and growing. As you will see here he also gets happier by the minute. This month was all about smiles and giggles and even some good ole' belly laughs. The sound of his laughter has to be the best sound I have ever heard in my life...filling me with joy from head to toe!
Of note...Jack's source of glee in all of these photos was his dad...

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was tons of fun this year! First we stopped at the Bensman's house for an afternoon with the family...catching up, eating good food, and watching the kids play! I realize now that I didn't take nearly enough pictures...only two on my camera! (I need to steal some from Amy and Jess!) It was great to see everyone!

After that we headed up to Dayton to Jessica and Sam's house for the Turkey FEAST! The house looked beautiful and the food was plentiful and delicious! We had lots of fun watching Jack eat some mashed potatoes (or try to eat...I don't think much really got into his mouth...just smeared all over his high chair and Jessica's floor).

The other funny bit was realizing our soon is a boozer! He and I were sitting in front of the empty bottle of champagne and Jack kept grabbing for it over and over and sticking the top of the bottle in his mouth....it was pretty funny! Jessica caught one of his attempts on her camera video...watch the footage below!

FOUR months

Jack hit the four month mark! At his last doctors appointment he weighed 14 pounds 1 ounce and was 25 1/2 inches long (that means he has grown six and a half inches!) According to the growth charts he is long and lean.

Here are some of the shots from his four month photo shoot. The cutest part of this month was taking the pictures with the teddy bear. Last month he didn't even notice it was there...this month he was talking to the bear, reaching out for it and seemed to really want to make friends with Mr. Bear. It was just adorable.

SO proud!

First, I am so proud of myself...I somehow miraculously figured out how to transfer a video I recorded on my cell phone to this website (without my techno husbands help...really, he is at work!).
But really I am SOOOO proud of my little man who has officially learned how to roll over...here is the video to prove it. (it lasts about 70 seconds)

New Toy

We got Jack an early Christmas present...a Jumper entertainment center! Beth Fischer said it reminded her of Las Vegas...so many toys, flashing lights and music. I thought that was funny and right-on so now I call it 'baby vegas'. Jack loves it and will spend endless amounts of time checking out all of the toys and various attachments.

Our Little MONKEY

We couldn't resist (well I couldn't....Erin maybe) dressing up Jack for his first Halloween. Ever since he was born one of my favorite nicknames for him has been 'my little monkey'...so I had to get the monkey costume. He was a pretty darn cute monkey if you ask me!

Fall FUN!

Our little family went to a local 'farm' to enjoy in their fall festival. Went didn't go on the hayride...maybe next year...but we did have fun picking out pumpkins. Our little pumpkin got his own little pumpkin....here are the pictures.

Also...Jack is slowly getting more used to his 'tummy time' as his little neck gets stronger and stronger...here are some funny picutres from a recent session.
