We made our first trip to Jack's very own park...YEATMAN'S COVE! Ok...well, I guess he has to share it with the rest of Cincinnati, but we can pretend, right!? For those of you not familiar with the area, there is a large park down by the Cincinnati river called Yeatman's Cove.
The cove is actually named after Griffin Yeatman who was the owner of a tavern called "Square and Compass" back in the 1790s...a time when the area was the location of a thriving steamboat port. Currently the spot is a large park which is popular for picnics, concerts and festivals and actually still serves as a port for two old steamboats.
For us it was a nice afternoon out strolling around, having some lunch (in Jack's case a yummy bottle) and playing in the park. Here are some pictures from our adventure. Jack really did seem to like the swing (although we didn't manage to capture any of his grins on photo) and he loved watching all of the people and dogs running around.
