Oh goodness, my baby is almost one! Jack is really turning into a little boy, growing and learning new things everyday! He is still cruising around the furniture and anything else he can grab onto and pull himself up. He will stand unsupported for a brief second before plopping down on his butt.
He is interested in EVERYTHING. Suddenly he wants to know the word for every object in the room. He points and points and points and seems to be asking us what's this and what's that. He especially loves objects above him...lights, ceiling fans, birds, etc.. There is rarely a minute where his little pointer finger isn't sticking straight out.
The other big change is that he really seems to be trying to talk more. He is in love with balls and says 'baab' as he points to balls here and there. He has the word bye-bye down pretty accurately and does the little hand wave as he says the words. The funny part is that he says bye to people around three minutes after they are long gone. He also knows the word duck, which sounds like 'dut'. He can moo like a cow and bark like a dog...and does so when he sees each animal. Each day he seems to add something new. Today I swear he said the word flower (or something really close) as we were checking out the potted plants outside. We were also informed by daycare that he said 'shithead' the other day, so we will add that to the first word list! :)
He is also getting more and more into books. His current favorite is called "Peek a Who". The last page has a little mirror in the book and the first few times I read it to him I would stick out my tongue for him to see in the mirror. Now as soon as we get to the the last page he already has his tongue sticking out! So darn cute.
