Number TWO

As most of our blog viewers already know, we are expecting baby #2! I am 15 weeks pregnant today and the due date is August 19th. We are super excited! I had an ultrasound at 12 weeks and here are some of the photos.  Everything looked good on the ultrasound, beating heart, two arms, two legs, etc...We will be finding out the sex of the baby...in another 5 weeks or so and will spread the news once we know. Any guesses??

Lola Hugs and more..

Jack has been a huge fan of Lola recently.   He LOVES it when she chases him around the house, begs her for kisses, and as you see in the following pictures, gives her the occasional big hugs.   On the other hand he also likes bossing her around.    He seems to exert his strong will towards the dog...and will point his finger at her and say "No Lola and Sit Lola and Drop it Lola"....often in one big, long run-on sentence.   Lola just looks at him like he is speaking jibberish.
The other pictures are some more 'indoor' activities that we have created to try to break up the boredom of winter.   A few of basketball, still Jack's #1 activity of choice.  Some of finger painting which was super messy and fun.   Others of Jack's skills in the kitchen.   He has really gotten into helping Erin cook.   He especially likes to crack eggs and stir anything.   He is a good taster too....    He is at such a fun age!!

Photo Shoot!

Hey all! Here is a link to a short slide show of some pictures that were just taken a few weeks ago of my parents, Jack, and Erin and I. (wish that Jess and Sam were in them too!!) Winter fun

As the rest of the country, we keep getting more rounds of snow! One of the latest snow fallings we spent the 20 minutes it takes to fully suit up Jack to go out and play. Snow boots, snow pants, double jacket, hat and mittens. The boots were a bit hard for him to walk in (the snow aspect didn't help either)...and he suffered a few face plants in the snow, but overall he had a great time. Here are some pictures.

Daddy's Birthday!

Erin turned another year older (I'll spare him the numerical details). Jack happily got involved in the birthday festivities. He was very impressed with Daddy's birthday balloons and carried them around the house for a good 20 minutes. (two of them are actually STILL floating around our house...hearty balloons!) He also loved singing happy birthday and blowing out candles. And the MOST fun was the cake! He had no interest in the cake on his first birthday, but gobbled up Erin's "Ice cream cake"....and has faithfully asked for more "ice cream cake" nearly everyday since.
