A Pin-tastic maternity leave

For two months I got a little glimpse of what it would feel like to be a stay-at-home mom.  It was nuts most of the time, especially with a new born baby.  It wasn't a true test either because Erin was home too, helping all the time.   It's a tough tough job and I have to give him HUGE credit for tackling the task every day.   It was FUN though.  I discovered Pinterest.  What a plethora of fabulous ideas, tidbits, recipes, tricks, thoughts, etc.  I spent hours at night feeding the baby and pinning away.   I had even more fun trying out some of my finds with Jack and Charlie.  We got crafty.  I think they had a good time too.  Here are some pictures of some of our little projects and crafts that I caught on film.

Worms in the dirt (aka pudding, oreo cookies and gummy worms) needless to say, they really loved this one!

Glow sticks in the bathtub!

Squirt bottle sidewalk paint

Mud cupcakes, yummy.

This box was a pirate ship, an airplane, a speed boat, etc. It entertained them happily for 90 minutes.  Who needs toys!!?

Charlie was a huge help making cookies.

Baking soda fun

Jack really enjoyed this sidewalk paint

shaving cream was another one that kept them busy for quite awhile

Who doesn't love a hotdog octopus!?

Marble shoot.  Jack ended up setting up elaborate marble course runs throughout the house.

Painting marshmallows with milk paint.  Then we got to eat them!

Home made playdough

Thin mint owl.

Tommy TWO months

Well, time is flying as usual.  I really did capture these photos when Tommy was 2 months old, it has just taken me 6 weeks to post them....
At two months Tom was really starting to show some personality.  We were starting to get some of those fabulous big, gummy grins.  He was becoming more aware of his surroundings and starting to enjoy some time on his playmat and bouncy chair.   His brothers are doing fabulous with the new addition to the family.  Jack especially always has a round of kisses for his baby brother.   At his two month visit he weighed 11 pounds which means he is growing and growing.  Here are some pictures...
