I am going with the better late than never theme here. Since we are just a few months shy of Charlie's 2nd birthday, I am finally posting pictures of his first. Needless to say, it has been on my list of things to do for quite some time now. Sorry Charlie! That weekend (and what seems like every weekend since) was jammed packed with fun, friends and family.
The Glass family- Rhonda, Paul, Haley, Olivia and Alyssa all came for the weekend to celebrate and play. We had a blast. The girls were so fun. A house of 5 kids ranging from 1-6 was total chaotic fun.
We made pizza and cake, swam, went to a festival in Newport and just overall had a great time.
Most importantly, we celebrated Charlie's 1st birthday!
At one he was not quite walking yet, but it was just a month or so after his birthday that he took his first steps. He was (and still is) into musical things. Put a up-beat song on and you can catch him dancing and clapping.
He did a pretty good job of eating his first birthday cake. The cake started off with "Charlie" written at the bottom, but somehow by the time we went to sing and serve the cake it had turned into "harlie". A certain big brother later admitted to eating the C. A certain dog later finished off more than half the cake while we were out at Newport. Oh well, those are the details of the weekend we will never forget!
