Well, our little guy finally got tired of sittin' around, so he decided to start crawling a couple days ago. Here's the video evidence. Now we have to batten down the hatches...

7 Months
How can he be seven months already?? Jack is growing like a weed. The seventh month brought his first official trip to the doctor for being sick. He had bronchiolitis (a respiratory virus with a bad cough and wheeze) and an ear infection. Ugh. He is on the mend now though and it didn't slow him down much. He is getting more and more mobile and really dislikes sitting still for all that long. You can see in the following pictures that these photo shoots are becoming more difficult....who wants to pose for pictures when there are TOYS to play with and things to explore!
We continue to spoil him and got him a 'walker'...it has been an absolute trip watching him scoot around the house...he LOVES the mobility it has given him!
Here are the photos... (oh and yes...his hair was sticking up crazy that morning. We thought it was kinda cute, so made no attempt to calm it down)
Also, a special thanks to my parents. Erin and I made our first trip out of the state without Jack. We went to Las Vegas for a long weekend and celebrated my birthday and valentine's day. (didn't win any cash, but had a great time) My parents watched Jack the whole weekend! I think they had a ball...but it was SOO nice of them and Erin and I are so thankful that Jack has such amazing grandparents!

A new cousin!
My two front teeth
In the last month Jack sprouted his two bottom front teeth. It definitely made him a bit fussy for a few days and he went on a bit of a feeding strike, but now that they are sticking through he is happy again. It is hard to capture them on film because they still are not sticking up more than a few milimeters, but here is a zoom in and you can just barely see them there. The second picture is a perfectly captured stream of drool (artistic in a really wierd way)....which has come out in gallons from these teeth.

Snow Day
Last week we got a major snow storm. It snowed a few inches then switched to freezing rain and then snowed about six more inches. In the end it was quite the pile up of snow and ice and resulted in my office closing for two days! Extra vacation!! It was a real bonus to get to spend a few days with my boys! Here are a few cool pictures of our yard that Erin took once the sky was clear again. And of course some pictures of Jack. You will probably note that he didn't have on either mittens or boots. He wouldn't keep the mittens on his hands and his boots were just impossible to get on him. He was already a bit miffed by all of the layers, trying to add boots at the end was the last straw, so I just left them off. We were only outside for a few minutes, so he survived. He did seem to like the snow!

Play Play Play
Sorry for the BIG delay between posts! We had most of our photos stored on our laptop, which decided to just die one day about a month ago. The screen just went black. It spent a few weeks at the computer repair store, but unfortunately they couldn't fix it. We are now moving on to plan C (buy a new screen), but at least we have it back at home now and were able to extract some pictures.
This post is just a random bunch of shots over the last month. Jack is so happy to be able to sit up and play! He is becoming more engaged with the toys and actually seems to study them. He loves rolling a ball around on the floor, but occasionally gets mad because it's hard to chew on a ball and he still puts everything in his mouth. He is also trying more and more to stand up...there is one picture here of him leaning against his bouncer....
There are also a few pictures of him on the floor under a blanket, I added those just because I thought they were cute.
We will try to get updated on posts over the next few weeks!
