Jack had to go to the doctor yesterday for a Hepatitis vaccination. Not really noteworthy, except for he was 'harassing' this girl in the waiting room by trying to share his cookies with her.
After getting the shot, we had an unhappy boy, so I took him to Graeter's for a strawberry sundae. As you can see, everything was just dandy once ice cream was brought into the equation.
We've also fixed the basketball video from a couple posts ago.

Four Eyes :)
This is a random post of pictures. First, a few of us at a fun train station museum. For the holidays they set up a whole section of 'holiday train tracks'. We are constantly looking for things to do and reasons to get out of the house and break the cabin fever....this was one of those outings. The trains were still a bit advanced for Jack (mostly because they were high up and he couldn't see them without a lift)...but we still had fun.
The second group of pictures are a few that crack me up. Jack has gotten into wearing glasses...here he stole Grandma's reading glasses and wore them around for a good 10 minutes. He would ask us to put them on and them go make baskets...like he would make a better basket if he had the glasses on. Too funny....

Bishop Family Party
Thankfully we found a time where the whole Bishop side of the family could get together. Lisa, Darren, Liam and Charlotte were in from Chicago. Amy, Brian, Mia, and Olivia came from Mason. Erin, Jack and I traveled from Cincy. And Jess, Sam, Mom, Dad, and Uncle Joe came from Dayton...all of us meeting at Aunt Marilyn's house for a night of Christmas fun.
It was a very fun and entertaining night. Eight years ago we had quiet, sit down Christmas dinners....now it's exciting chaos with five kids running around. Liam, Charlotte and Olivia carried on the tradition Lisa, Amy, Jess, and I began when we were younger of putting on a 'show' for the adults. They sang and danced to multiple Lady Gaga songs. Charlotte even had the Gaga look down with her tiara over her eyes and swinging hips. Jack and Mia did dance a bit and had some drum sticks, but mostly just chewed on them. Here are some pictures from the night. The last two are the two best shots we got from an attempt at a group picture. Jack of course was trying to escape...
It was fun, cannot wait for the next family get together for more singing and dancing!

Christmas Cheer
It already feels like Christmas was three months ago, but I still am determined to get these pictures up here. It was a wonderful Christmas. Jack was so fun to watch throughout the whole process. He really didn't have much interest in the actual unwrapping of gifts, but certainly was super excited to have some new things to play with. I'll write more commentary as I post...
Twas the Night before Christmas and we all had matching pajamas, so we cuddled in bed, and read the official book while trying to snap some pictures. Look at Erin's beard! He shaved it off as a Christmas present to me (one of my favorite presents! )
My little Christmas Angel all wrapped up in red and green. He loves playing in our bed...rolling around in the pillows and saying he's "sleepy". Too cute.
Christmas morning...we took this picture to represent the view that Jack would see as he came down the stairs.
Here he comes! Lola looks the most surprised of all! Jack immediately saw the basketball hoop and headed straight for it!
This was the first of about 6000 baskets to date...
His other big gift....his 'tunnel' as he calls it. He has also spent hours crawling around and throwing balls in and out...
It took him a few attempts to get the hang of the whole stocking concept and that there were toys in there for him!
Look at my new tunnel!! I love it!
Showing a tiny bit of interest in opening a gift. He would pull off one strip of paper and then hop up to go make some more baskets...
Later in the day we made some Christmas cookies. It was pretty messy, but fun.
Later Jess, Sam, Grandma and Grandpa came and brought MORE presents! Here is Jack showing off some of his favorites. Elmo slippers....FUN!!
Blocks from Uncle Chris and Aunt LeighAnne. He is getting good at building towers!
And of course loves even more to knock them over!
Another favorite gift....balloons you can swing and bounce and shake...thanks Jess and Sam!
Finally, (not that all gifts are covered here...we got so much from all of our friends and relatives...thanks to EVERYONE!) here is an adorable table and computer that Grandma and Grandpa got Jack. He loves to sit at his little table and hit buttons on the computer.
After years of my mom stuffing stockings for the whole family we finally got her a stocking (actually without knowing, both Jess and Sam and Erin and I had the same idea...so she ended up with TWO stocking!)
Finally, a cute shot Jess captured of Jack peaking out of his tunnel.

Christmas Preparation
HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!! I am about a month behind in blog posts....the holidays were packed with fun and kept us running...so I will have to catch up over the next few weeks. This batch of pictures goes all the way back to the beginning of December when we were just getting ready for Christmas. I'll add commentary as I post....
First step....find a Christmas tree. It was a mildly cool day...Erin and I were laughing at how silly Jack looked bundled up for our tree finding quest..
The tree nursery had lot of large blow-up Christmas decorations..Jack was mesmerized...
Hmmmm...so many beautiful trees to choose from.
After finding the perfect match we took advantage of the free cookies, popcorn and hot chocolate that they had to offer. Jack and Erin are sharing a cookie here..
Once the tree was up, Jack spent a few minutes each day checking out all of the various ornaments. His favorite were the apple, star, and of course the balls.
Here he is 'hugging' an ornament.
Hanging out with Lola under the tree.
Scanning for possible new ornaments to see...
Here are two pictures from a holiday party that we attended at my cousin Amy's house. The place was packed with kids and fun. They have a ton of cool toys and Jack had a ball checking them all out. Here is mom, Jess and Jack
This is Mia and Jack (they are very close to the same age...but still not quite old enough to really play with each other).
Our first significant snow of the year. We were excited to get outside and play in the snow. Daddy built a snowman! Jack had fun stomping around and throwing balls in the snow.
Good snowman Daddy!
Jack throwing a pass to Mr. Snowman. Too bad he only had stick arms.
Mommy and Jack
Last but not least...here are some pictures of us trying to stay busy on snowy, cold days. First, having a great time BANGING!!
And finally, another fun indoor activity....helping Mommy put on her makeup! Jack seems to be a bit fascinated with the process of applying makeup....one morning I figured I would just let him go for it....here is his masterpiece.
